Rural Addressing Applications


Items which will help your rural addressing application be processed quickly and smoothly:

   1. Name of property owner on most current recorded warranty deed.

   2. Owner Number or Property Code (UPC). These may be found on a current tax bill / notice of value, or by contacting the Taos County Assessor's Office at 575-737-6360.

   3. Brief summary describing the intent for the rural addressing application. For example; new home construction, placement of a manufactured home, USPS mail box, NM MVD, etc.

New addresses will require a completed rural addressing application, a floodplain/wetlands determination form, and a site plan that shows

Interactive Maps

  • Taos County Address Finder - An interactive map that allows you to search for and locate an address or road in the Taos County jurisdiction.  This map does not currently contain data for incorporated areas or pueblos other than Questa.  Information about Taos County maintained roads and forest roads is included.
  • Taos County Commission Districts - An interactive map that allows you to determine in which Taos County Commission District a given location lies.  A location can be found using Taos County road or address data.  The Commission District boundaries were last updated in 2019.
  • Taos County Floodplain Map - An interactive map that allows you to find out FEMA floodplain map information for a given location in Taos County.  A location can be found using Taos County road or address data.  The FEMA flood map information is live streamed directly from FEMA.
  • Taos County Permits Map - An interactive map that allows you to search for and locate a building permit or manufactured home permit in the Taos County jurisdiction.
