Property Owners or Heirs of Large Properties

Property Owners or Heirs of Tres Piedras Estates, Carson Estates, and Ranchos de Taos Estates

Taos County has a large geographic area where many out of state property owners obtained real estate in quarter-acre lots through purchase or winnings beginning in the 1960s. Many of these lots are located in areas known as the Tres Piedras Estates, Carson Estates, and Ranchos de Taos Estates.

If you or a family member own property in this area or had family members that are now deceased who owned property in these areas, you may be referred to the Taos County Probate Judge by another Taos County agency to get information to transfer ownership.
